This policy covers both the Froomies website (froomies.org, built in Framer) and the Froomies App (custom React / Supabase platform).

We only collect information you share with us so we can create a great experience:

• Name and contact details (email, WhatsApp, postal address)

• Preferred name / nickname

• Instagram handle or other social links

• Profile photo and images you upload

• Date of birth (optional)

• Booking dates, room choices and pets (if any)

• Application answers about your interests and projects

• Allergy, dietary or access info you choose to share

💳 We never store payment details.
All transactions go through Stripe or Wonderful (Open Banking) using their own secure systems.

3 how we use your data

We use your information to:

• Manage bookings and applications

• Personalise your stay and profile

• Create an engaging community experience via the Froomies App

• Send essential operational emails

• Share optional news & updates (if you opt in)

• Feature community stories or testimonials (with your consent)

• Understand how our website & app are used (analytics)

4 how we store & protect it

Your data is stored on secure, encrypted cloud services with limited access:

• Supabase – for bookings and profiles

• Brevo – for emails and newsletters

• Stripe / Wonderful / Monzo – for payments

We use industry-standard security and regularly review permissions to keep everything safe.

5 who we share it with

Only trusted partners who help us run Froomies:

• Brevo – Email & newsletter delivery

• Supabase – Database hosting

• Stripe / Wonderful – Payment processing

• Meta / Google – Analytics & marketing pixels

We don’t sell or swap your data. Ever.

6 how long we keep it

Only for as long as needed to provide services or meet legal requirements. After that, we securely delete or anonymise it.

7 your rights

Under UK data protection law you can:

• Request a copy of your data

• Ask us to correct inaccuracies

• Withdraw consent for marketing

• Ask for deletion of your data

8 cookies & tracking

Cookies help our site run smoothly and let us see what’s working well.

9 international transfers

Our main servers are in the UK and EEA, but some partners (Supabase, Brevo) may store data elsewhere.

When they do, they use Standard Contractual Clauses to protect your data to UK GDPR standards.
