At Froomies, our aim is to create a space where everyone feels welcome, included and supported - a place where community, creativity and wellbeing are accessible to all, as far as our unique rural setting allows.

We’re still growing and learning, and while some areas of our site present physical challenges due to the age and layout of the farm, we’re committed to making steady improvements and offering honest information to help you plan your stay.

1 our commitment

We believe everyone should have the opportunity to experience everything that Froomies offers. We’re committed to:

• Being open and honest about what accessibility features are available (and what aren’t yet).

• Offering assistance wherever possible.

• Listening and learning from our guests to make Froomies more inclusive over time.

2 overview of the site

Froomies is based on a rural farm in Cornwall, with multiple buildings, cottages and outdoor areas set across gently sloping terrain. Surfaces include concrete driveways, grass and stone paths. The stone paths and driveways are mostly level, but all grassy areas are uneven in several places. 

Some buildings, particularly the older cottages, have steps, narrower doorways and limited turning space. However, several areas of the property are on the ground floor with a small step to get inside.

Parking is available close to most cottages for loading and unloading.

3 accessible features we currently offer

• Ground-floor accommodation options (please enquire in advance).

• Assistance dogs are welcome by prior arrangement (but must adhere to the Pet Policy).

• Hosts (Zoë & Yello) are available to assist with luggage, orientation and settling in.

• Digital information and communications via the Froomies App.

4 areas that may present challenges

• Some pathways are stone or grass, and may become muddy, uneven and slippery.

• We currently have no accessible bathrooms onsite. Although some bathrooms are on ground level, along with the accommodation, all showers have a step to get into and no hand rails are in place.

• Not all cottages currently have step-free access.

• The pool, hot tub and yoga barn are on varying levels, with steps.

• Lighting levels vary outdoors at night (we recommend bringing a torch).

• The entrances to the Farmhouse (including co-working areas, lounge and communal kitchen) are on the ground floor level, however there are some short steps to go up in order to get into the Farmhouse.

We’re actively exploring ways to improve these features in future updates of the site.

5 support & assistance

We’re always happy to help. Your host can:

• Offer a personal orientation on arrival.

• Assist with carrying luggage when upon arrival and departure.
